Pink or Blue // A Gender Reveal

July 10, 2017

On Thursday of last week, Justin and I went for an early gender determination ultrasound (yeah, we are those people who could not wait for the anatomy scan)! From the moment we found out we were expecting, we assumed it would be a third boy since we already have two and since statistics show that couples are more likely to have another boy if they already have two. But honestly, I never truly had any intuition as to what this baby would be. People would ask me all the time and my response was usually something along the lines of, “a baby.” I also didn’t have a lot of time to dwell on the gender since I have two extremely active little ones to keep up with. So, Thursday we walked into the ultrasound department at my doctor’s office with zero gut feelings and found out the gender of our sweet little one.

We found out in the ultrasound, just the two of us, instead of finding out at the same time as our families. So, we were tight lipped (except Hannah knew) until Friday evening.

I love our reactions to our families’ reactions when they saw the color of the confetti :). Take note of the bump, it debuted far earlier than my previous pregnancies.

Baby C #3 is a……….

We are EXTREMELY excited, but y’all, I’m still in shock and still processing the idea of having a daughter (remember, we’ve assumed boy since the test said positive)! I am in full on boy mom mode and baby girl land is uncharted territory for us (I need advice on bows, clothes, all the things really)! As far as names go we have NOTHING; a completely blank list. Thankfully, we’ve got about 23 weeks (give or take) to come up with a name.

I have been on a roller coaster ride of emotions this entire pregnancy and I hope I can put all of that into words to share with y’all in a future post. Until then, if you have a little girl, please point me in the direction of all of the cute girl things! I’m so excited to be adding some pink to the Cold Coffee, Hot Mess kid crew and I’m thankful that she will have all of these boys to look out for her as they grow up together! Have a great Monday, y’all!
