TGIF, y’all! I don’t know about you, but this has been quite a week. My entire house was taken down by the stomach bug over the last ten days, but we are all finally on the upswing (thank you, Lord)! So, disinfecting every square inch of my house is priority #1 this weekend, and I am not mad about it at all! Get these germs OUT OF MY HOUSE!
Both of us have talked a little about our healthier lifestyles (read about Hannah’s journey here), so today I thought I would share one of our favorite sources for healthy alternatives; Thrive Market. Since we both have young kids, we are all about convenience and avoiding as many meltdowns in public places as possible (for ourselves and our kiddos). We love grocery pick-ups, Amazon Prime (all the things), and Thrive for a discount on healthy pantry staples, snacks, and even some supplements. Thrive makes it so easy for busy moms to shop for their family’s specific lifestyle and dietary needs–paleo, vegan, organic, gluten free, etc.–with over 4,000 items there’s something for every stomach. The best part is that everything is up to 50% cheaper than retail AND all orders over $49 ship for free! I order from Thrive a couple times a month because I am able to get specialty items much cheaper than I can in stores. So, I thought I would share some of my favorites that are almost always in my cart!
Simple Mills Mixes and Snacks
As a (mostly) paleo family, we love everything from Simple Mills, but their products add up really quickly. So I order from Thrive to get a discount on one of our favorite brands. The name Simple Mills comes from the clean and simple ingredients used for their products that are clearly marked on their labels. Simple Mills never uses artificial flavors or fillers because they believe that the best foods are truly simple. We always stock up on their almond flour crackers, artisan bread mix, and almond flour chocolate muffin mix. Yum!
4th & Heart Ghee
We go through ghee (clarified butter) really quickly in our house and since it’s not the cheapest kitchen staple for us, it’s another item that is ALWAYS in my Thrive cart. It’s high in butyric acid for healthy digestion, packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K, and omega fatty acids that reduce inflammation, and loaded with conjugated linoleic acid which increases metabolism. I usually get 4th & Heart’s 100% grass fed, Himalayan salted flavor and use it to cook with and even blend it into my coffee.
Thrive Market Collection
Thrive Market collection is Thrive Market’s very own curated brand of high-quality pantry staples, at the best prices possible. Since Thrive’s mission is to make healthy living easy and affordable, they created the TM line with their core values in mind and designed each product to support their customers’ unique dietary needs and lifestyles. Thrive Market collection has specialty items like superfoods, and pantry staples like oils, flours, nuts, pasta sauces, and spices! They have rigorous sourcing practices to ensure that they are providing customers with the highest quality products. Right now, they have over 100 products with hundreds more in development. Some of my favorites are their stone ground mustard (weird thing to add, but I LOVE the stuff), nuts (pecans and raw almonds), paleo baking staples, bay leaves, spices, and canned tomato products.
Like most kids, mine would eat snacks all day long if given the opportunity. But like most moms, I know how expensive healthy snacks can be. So I pick up most of ours from Thrive. My kids love Boom Chicka Pop, Pirates Booty, apple sauce, coconut oil fried chips, Pure Organic fruit bars, basically all snacks. Thrive also has snack samplers to help you out if you’re overwhelmed with all of the choices! With Thrive, I know that I am not only giving my kids healthier snack alternatives, but I am also not breaking the bank to satisfy every one of their snack attacks!
