Happy happy Friday friends! Is anyone else shocked at how quickly this summer is going?! I can’t believe we are only a month away from big kids going to school (insert all the tears for Evan going to Kindergarten next month…I’m not ready!!). Summer can be hard because there isn’t much routine and some days can seem like they’re dragging. But it’s also a sweet time to enjoy the little moments and enjoy the occasional super lazy day with nothing to do. There are lots of things we have been loving lately, so today we are linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci to share our Friday Favorites with you!
Mom tees are the best! I love a good graphic tee, because even though you’re still just wearing a t-shirt, it feels a little fancier. This “mama” tee from Evereve is SO soft and cute. I know you can’t see it in this pic, but it’s shorter in the front and longer in the back. It gives it a little “somethin’ somethin'”, but also keeps my booty covered when I wear it with leggings! You’re welcome, world. They have quite a few “mom” tees in their line from Junk Food. We love Evereve and their “pro-mom” outlook. Their designs are curated just for moms!! They balance casual style with what’s on trend to help you get cute and complete looks covering carpool duty, date night, work and weekend. Amen!
Some days you just need a good hat, whether as a cute accessory, or to hide your day-five hair. I am in love with this new hat from Judith March. “Thankful and grateful” are kind of my mantra, so this one is perfect! Judith March was started by Stephanie Carter Campbell, who chose to follow her dream of starting her own fashion label when she was just 21 years old! After selling her Mustang for $4,000, Stephanie launched her retail business by hitting the road and selling women’s apparel at country clubs and sorority houses from Auburn to Tuscaloosa. We love a good “woman following her dreams” story, so it makes wearing a hat designed by her even more special. Evereve just launched an entire new line of hats from Judith March that all have a cute vintage feel. I love the distressing around the brim and perfectly sun-faded colors. The quality is also pretty awesome – it’s the most comfy hat I own, and I know I’ll be rocking it throughout the summer and fall!
Essential Oil Diffuser
I’ve had my oil diffuser for quite a while, but I’ve been on more of a kick of actually using it over the last few weeks. Maybe because we are spending more time indoors since it’s so dang hot outside. I’ve been experimenting with more blends to use, and there are a few I’m loving. My go-tos these days are Joy (or Bouquet) and Peppermint, Frankincense and Peppermint, Germ Fighter and Lemon, or Lavender and Lemon.
I have a few young living oils, but I usually order Plant Therapy from Amazon when I run out (Amazon Prime always wins). I currently have the diffuser in the picture above (also please notice that I’ve just let the broken bird be part of the decor…just embracing a house of boys over here). But I have my eyes on a few others I’ve seen online. I really love this one from Amazon. Do you have a favorite blend you love to diffuse? Let me know!!
It’s a GIRL!
This has been my most favorite part of the last week, finding out that baby #3 is a girl! If you missed the gender reveal post on Monday, you can read it here. I have loved perusing all of the pink things available in all of the sales this week! On the flip side, the reality of having a baby girl is starting to sink in and it’s terrifying! Raising boys in this world is scary, but raising a girl trumps that ten fold (at least in my mind). I ran across this blog post on Facebook this week and it put into words my exact thoughts and what I pray over her life; that she will know Whose she is, that she will know her worth and where it comes from, and that her roots will be planted firmly in God’s truth and not the things of this world (for what it’s worth, I pray these things over my boys too).
Like I mentioned above, I am having fun doing a little shopping for baby girl during all of the sales this week. I picked up this L’oved Baby organic footed sleeper during Prime Day, and these pink Comotomo bottles and these Aden + Anais swaddles during the Nordstrom sale. I’ve also been stalking all the cute things at Gap and Old Navy, and doing my best to pace myself so that I don’t buy everything! But I hate paying full price for baby clothes (I mean they wear it once or twice), so I will probably give in to the Gap summer sale before the end of the day! Apologies to my bank account!
Game of Thrones
If you’re not a fan then skip over this one!
1000% switching gears here, but Game of Thrones season 7 premieres Sunday night! Some people may be giving me major side eye since I just talked about not wanting my children to be rooted in the things of this world, and here I am waxing poetic about Game of Thrones. My children are not exposed to shows like this and won’t be until they’re mature enough to not be swayed by something they see on a screen. Justin and I, on the other hand, are mature enough (most of the time;)). Anyway, I am beyond excited! I consider this one of “our shows” for me and Justin. We started watching it when we first met at the time the show originally premiered, and we are also A Song of Ice and Fire Readers so we are invested (still waiting for the Winds of Winter, George RR Martin)! We are crossing our fingers for a smooth bedtime for the boys on Sunday night so that Justin and I can cuddle up and welcome winter! I am a huge Game of Thrones nerd, so if you want to talk theories with me I am ALL for it! And for anyone as excited as I am, the trailer is worth watching again! Who else will be watching?
That’s it for this week! Hope y’all have a fabulous Friday and weekend! Let us know what you’re loving in the comments!
